CLINICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Formula:

Each 250-mg coated tablet of   Bioenzym 2G  contains: Tecoma curialis bark extract, d-alpha-tocoferol acetate (Vitamin E), Colecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Calcium, Zinc, Selenium, Genistein, Epigallocatechin-3-gallate, Lycopene, Pancreatin, Trypsin, Bromeline, Papain, Glutathione Transferase, Glutathione Peroxidase, Superoxide Dismutase, Glutathione Reductase.

Mechanism of Action:

The components in Bioenzym 2G, acting synergistically, activate and support the internal mechanisms which generate anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation. Beneficial effects are seen within a few days after starting treatment.

Pharmacokinetics

Bioenzym 2G tablets have a coating which prevents their disintegration in the gastric tract; instead, their main active ingredients are released in the intestinal tract. Once released, the main active ingredients pass into the bloodstream through the chyliferous membranes. The following ranges of absorption have been verified: bromeline 39%; pancreatin 19%; papain 7%; trypsin 28%. Once absorbed, the enzymes combine with the proteinase inhibitors alpha1-antitrypsin and alpha2-macroglobulin, thereby preventing the patient’s immune system from identifying the enzymes as antigens, without this meaning that enzyme activity is inhibited. In fact, these proteinase-enzyme inhibitors have proven pharmacological activity. The enzymes absorbed are eliminated hepatically or through the mononuclear phagocyte system. In some studies, it is also assumed that the enzymes absorbed could be eliminated by the pancreatic juice.

Indications and Dosage:

Below, by way of example, we show some therapeutic recommendations which are based on extensive clinical experience, in the following areas of specialisation. However, it is up to the physician’s discretion to decide which dosage and which therapeutic plan he will use, according to each specific case and pathology.

The clinical experience which has backed up this research supports the combined use thereof with other medications, since the coadjutant and boosting action confirms the preventative efficacy of Bioenzym 2G.

INDICATIONS BY MEDICAL SPECIALISATION

Plastic Surgery:
Anti-inflammatory Activity:

The recommended initial dosage, pre- and post-op, is as follows: 10 days prior to surgery, it is recommended that the patient take 4 tablets daily, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, every day (2 b.i.d.) 10 minutes before meals. This will help the patient to experience less severe inflammatory symptoms. Post-op, it is recommended to prescribe a dose of 4 tablets of Bioenzym 2G in the morning and 4 tablets in the afternoon every day (4 b.i.d.) before meals, for 20 days following the surgery, and to assess the patient medically to determine whether to continue or stop treatment.

Results: Once the first days post-op have elapsed, the patient should experience a decrease in his inflammatory symptoms, with quicker healing of trauma and haematomas.

Internal Medicine:

Anti-inflammatory Activity: The recommended initial dosage is 2 tablets 3 times a day (2 t.i.d.) 10 minutes before meals; its use is recommended for 60 consecutive days and it is also recommended that a monthly evaluation be done to determine whether to modify or maintain the treatment as per the treating physician’s discretion.

Results: Once the first weeks of the treatment have elapsed, the patient should experience an improvement in his symptoms.

Neutralisation of free radicals, due to anti-oxidant effect: The recommended initial dosage is 2 tablets 3 times a day for 90 days (2 t.i.d.), 10 minutes before meals. Tests should be run monthly to check oxidation values. A monthly evaluation should be done to determine whether to modify or maintain the treatment, as per the treating physician’s discretion.
Results: Once the first weeks of the treatment have elapsed, the patient should experience an improvement in his oxidation values.

Anti-viral Activity and Acute Viruses: The recommended initial dosage is 4 tablets 3 times a day (4 t.i.d.) 10 minutes before meals, for 90 consecutive days

Chronic or Sub-clinical Viruses: 2 tablets 3 times a day (2 t.i.d.), 10 minutes before meals.  In both cases, a monthly evaluation is done to determine whether to modify or maintain the treatment, as per the treating physician’s discretion.
Results: Once the first weeks of the treatment have elapsed, the patient should experience an improvement in his symptoms.

Boosting of Immune System: The recommended initial dosage is 3 tablets 3 times a day (3 t.i.d.) for an extendable period of 6 months, to be taken 10 minutes before meals. A monthly evaluation is done to determine whether to modify or maintain the treatment, as per the treating physician’s discretion.
Results: Once the first weeks of the treatment have elapsed, the patient should experience an improvement in his symptoms.

Urology:
To manage Prostatic Hyperplasia: The use of Bioenzym 2G is recommended in cases of male patients with a genetic tendency towards pathological conditions which present with tumours. The dosage indicated as preventative treatment is to take three (3) sugar-coated tablets in the morning, preferably upon rising, with still (non-sparkling) water 10 minutes prior to intake of food and three (3) sugar-coated tablets in the evening, 10 minutes prior to intake of food (3 b.i.d.), for a continuous period of 6 months. This treatment can be repeated indefinitely without risk, since it is totally safe and its components do not create deposits.
We recommend that Bioenzym 2G be taken to protect against the propagation of prostate cancer cells.
After PSA levels have been determined, two weeks before the planned prostate puncture biopsy, start taking four (4) sugar-coated tablets 3 times a day (4 t.i.d.) (in the morning, at midday, and in the evening) and continue with this dosage until four weeks after the biopsy.

Take the respective sugar-coated tablets with a glass of still (non-sparkling) water before meals.
Do not take other medications or vitamins for two hours after taking Bioenzym 2G.
Discuss this plan with your urologist or general practitioner.

Analysis:
Bioenzym 2G is a patented natural medication proven effective in defending and boosting the immune system; it acts against all inflammatory processes thanks to its being made up of carefully and clinically selected enzymes and plant extracts.

Contraindications:  As a product made from natural enzymes and plant extracts, it has no contraindications; therefore, it is compatible with any other medical treatment.

Side Effects: Some patients reported bowel movements with softer stools during the initial stages of the treatment and, in 10% of cases, some female patients reported swelling of breasts, without this representing any risk since this effect did not last longer than 48 hours.

SUMMARY OF CLINICAL STUDY:
Mechanisms of the cell cycle and apoptosis implicated in the resistance to Medications and the advantages of using Bioenzym 2G in superficial bladder cancer
WOLF, T., SOTTON, M.

SUMMARY

Numerous studies have confirmed the usefulness of enzyme therapy in prophylaxis of relapses of superficial bladder tumours after transurethral resection.  However, the efficacy of this practice can be limited by the existence of resistances to individual agents or of multiple resistances to several medications, hence the advantage of using Bioenzym 2G as an anti-radical and anti-inflammatory agent. In addition to the classic or “single cell” resistance mechanisms determined genetically, such as the expression of glycoprotein P-170 (gene mdr-I), the over-expression of the gene Bc1-20, the activity of Glutathione S-transferase, other “multicell” resistance mechanisms exist which have been able to be proven in three-dimensional aggregate cell cultures, and not in the same cells cultivated in single layer or in suspension of individual cells. Cell-cell and cell-stroma adhesion condition, on the one hand, limited penetration of drugs and, on the other hand, some gradients of oxygen and proliferation in tissues, creating different susceptibilities to the cytotoxic effect. Knowledge of the resistances and their mechanisms is of great importance, whereas this is one of the points where action can be taken to optimise the efficacy of enzyme therapy in superficial bladder cancer. Many researchers have devoted their efforts to the quest for means against resistances, through the application of methods to improve drug penetration, the quest for reversing agents or identification of resistances with in vitro sensitivity tests.
